2. Jane Austen and the Methodists
Saturday, April 18th, 10AM to Noon, Jane Austen and the Methodists, at The Little Chapel, Emory University. Did you know George Whitefield was a Calvinistic Methodist? And that Charles Wesley wrote many of the hymns we all sing today, from "Hark the Herald Angels" to "Christ the Lord is Risen Today"? Join us at this lovely historic chapel to hear Brenda Cox speak about the roots of Methodism and connections with Jane Austen and with Georgia.
