| 1. Update on Pastor Erik Thank you for your notes and prayers! Pastor Erik's follow-up procedure this week was partially successful, but a few complications (including a brief hospital visit) have extended the process and delayed his recovery. Please continue to pray for a complete and smooth recovery! "For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all." (2 Cor. 4:17).
2. Mercy Team Food Drive Please read the following message from our Mercy team: No doubt you've been following the news about the government shutdown and how it will impact SNAP benefits for families in need. In response to this crisis, we believe that TPC should respond as we are able and show the love of Christ to our neighbors. We'll be supporting our local ministry partner, NETWorks Cooperative Ministries, with a food drive this month. For the next 3 Sundays, (November 9, 16 and 23) please bring non-perishables, canned goods, and toiletries. Place your donations in the collection bins by the mercy table at Nesbit. Click here for a complete list of most-needed items.
3. Food Assistance - More Ways to Help In addition to the Mercy team's food drive, please consider supporting one of the local ministries below. Although the government has agreed to provide 50% of SNAP benefits this month, food pantries have been inundated with many people. You can help support the organizations that are providing for the needs of vulnerable families by donating food or by giving financially: Contact Stacy Elder if you have questions about the organizations or the government policies.
